I happened upon these gorgeous wrought-iron table bases from Egypt and, of course, I immediately bought them. I then had a blacksmith help create a substrate out of a thick sheet metal and he welded the insets to these quite uniquely shaped beauties. I went as mediterranean as I could with these floral vine crowns which I wanted to be multi-directional. I employed Emperador Dark marble, Emperor Gold marble, and Creamy White marble.
I made the above rectangular coffee table top for a blacksmith’s showroom (Fenceworks Ironworks – Sacramento)
The above end table is a one-of-a-kind design from the wrought iron base, with legs bent on the diamonds. In this fun project I was able to utilize dozens of beautiful stones from all over the Earth. Available at Camelot Gallery in Nevada City, CA $2,000
As for the umbrella table set, I combined marble and granite; I did the same for the little round tea table.
Viking Ship. My first inlay mosaic. This mosaic pushed me to charter new territory. It was made on the diamond as can be seen with the ocean I wanted to create depth, so as you can see.. The client was emphatic about using a rare quartzite from brazil called Azul Macaubus (which only comes in slab thick sheets, so required a whole process of shaving down). Additionally used Nero Marquina for the borders, Emperor Gold, Verde Butterfly granite, and Creamy White marble for the sail.
